Digitized for the first time, this archive contains primary source content from one of history’s most-revered newspapers. During its run, the International Herald Tribune covered global events that shaped the modern international world. Contributions from various countries and cultures gave this paper an objective voice and allowed for clearer coverage of historical milestones. From its base in Paris, the International Herald Tribune reported on a diverse range of stories, covering wars and international politics, arts and culture, science, technology, and sports. Since 1887, this has been the paper of record for the American abroad.
