Reference Database Updates for 2025

E-Resources

Author Reference Services | Date 2024-12-25

To enhance the electronic database resources available for research and teaching by our faculty and students, the library has conducted a cost-efficiency analysis of current subscriptions. Considering rising exchange rates and subscription costs, databases with overlapping content, low usage rates, and high unit costs have been evaluated for potential cancellation. Efforts will also be made to seek suitable alternative resources.

Note:
The China Doctoral and Master Dissertations Full-text Database (CDMD) has been temporarily suspended from providing full-text downloads since April 1, 2023, due to compliance requirements under China’s "Measures for Data Export Security Assessment." Data services at the Qingdao site have resumed on April 1, 2024. Based on an evaluation of the publisher's performance and the university's needs, the subscription will not be renewed in 2025. However, previously subscribed content (Humanities and Social Sciences from 2000–2024, and other collections from 2000–2022) will remain accessible.

For information about the themes and usage guidelines of the electronic databases, please visit the library website > Library Resources > Database Search > Electronic Database page. We encourage you to make full use of these electronic resources.
